Frequently asked questions
Find answers to the most common questions from ambassadors and brands below. If you do not see what you are looking for, email us at team@ucambassadors.com.
For ambassadors
Not yet an ambassador? Apply here.
Your profile is active in our system and you are eligible to apply for jobs posted through the portal. Being approved is the first step. It is not a job offer and it is not a guarantee of work. Think of it like being added to a professional roster. You are on the team, but you still have to apply and be selected for each individual job.
No experience is required. We welcome students and young adults from all backgrounds. A positive attitude, reliability, and a willingness to represent brands professionally are all we ask for.
You must be at least 18 years old to join the UCA ambassador programme.
Most profiles are reviewed within 24 to 48 business hours. You will receive an email once your application is approved or if we need more information. Make sure your profile photo is uploaded and your details are complete before submitting.
If you are selected, you will receive a separate confirmation email with the full job details including the location, date, time, dress code, and a contact number for the day. If you do not receive that confirmation email, you were not selected for that particular job. Do not attend a job unless you have received a confirmation email for it.
No. Applying puts you forward for consideration. It does not confirm you for anything. Only the number of spots listed will be filled, and only those ambassadors receive a confirmation email. If you do not get the email, you were not selected.
A dress code is always communicated before each job. When no specific dress code is given, the UCA standard is a plain white polo shirt, plain blue or black jeans with no rips or dyes, and closed toe shoes. No crocs. Please invest in this attire as it is your professional uniform.
Pay is per shift and is processed after the job is confirmed complete. UCA handles all payments directly. You do not chase invoices or deal with clients yourself. Payment timelines vary by job but are clearly stated before you apply.
Yes. UCA places ambassadors across all 14 parishes. Jobs in your area are visible when you browse the job board in the portal.
As many as you like. You only get booked for jobs where your application is accepted, so apply broadly and let the opportunities come to you.
No minimum commitment. Apply when you want to work and sit out when you do not. The portal is always open.
Contact us at team@ucambassadors.com as soon as possible. Cancelling at the last minute or not showing up without notice is taken seriously and will affect your ability to be selected for future jobs.
If UCA cancels a confirmed job, you will be notified immediately and any applicable cancellation pay will be processed. Details are outlined in your ambassador agreement.
For brands
Ready to work with us? Submit a brief here.
UCA is a brand ambassador agency. We source, vet, train, and manage professional young Jamaicans to represent your brand at activations, events, promotions, and campaigns. You tell us what you need and we handle the people.
Product launches, in-store promotions, roadshows, sampling campaigns, corporate events, trade shows, and ongoing brand representation. If you need professional people representing your brand in person or online, that is what we do.
We have ambassadors across all 14 parishes in Jamaica. Whether your activation is in Kingston, Montego Bay, Ocho Rios, or anywhere else on the island, we can staff it.
We have over 3,500 active ambassadors in our database. The number available for any given job depends on the location, date, and job requirements. We will confirm availability when you submit a proposal request.
We recommend reaching out at least 2 weeks before your activation date to allow time for briefing and preparation. For large-scale or multi-location activations, 4 to 6 weeks is ideal. Last-minute requests are handled where possible.
Fill in the contact form on our website and select the services you are interested in. Our team will review your brief and come back to you within 2 business days.
The more detail you can give us the better. Helpful information includes: the type of activation, the location and date, the number of ambassadors needed, the hours required, and any specific requirements for the role. If you do not have all of this yet, send what you have and we will work with you to figure out the rest.
Yes. All UCA ambassadors go through onboarding when they join the programme and receive job-specific briefing materials before each activation. We do not send people in blind.
Yes. If you have worked with UCA ambassadors before and want to request them for a future job, let us know when you submit your brief and we will do our best to accommodate that.
Email us at team@ucambassadors.com and we will get back to you.
